Plot
The film is about two brothers, Jeff and Pat (played by Segel and Helms, respectively); the former is a 30-year-old still living in his parents' basement, while the latter struggles with a failing marriage.
Jeff, inspired by the film Signs, looks for his destiny in seemingly random occurrences, such as a series of coincidences involving the name "Kevin". Pat, meanwhile, suspects that his wife, Linda (Greer), is cheating on him. Finally, Jeff and Pat's mother, Sharon (Sarandon), finds some solace from her general disappointment with life in a "secret admirer" sending her messages at work. After one day of random meetings and emotional revelations, the four of them find themselves drawn together in a traffic jam that will change their lives.
